Here are the pictures of Maddie's birthday.  When I baked the cake I had so much extra batter that I also baked a dozen cupcakes.  This was not planned. I used a Paula Dean recipe for chocolate cake and the chocolate cream cheese frosting.  The cake is a treasure chest full of gold coins, candy rings, rock candy, Rollo's and gold wrapped kisses.  A true child's treasure!

I also made cake balls.  If you have not had any of these you are really missing a treat!

Zack created a real treasure hunt for her.  He went to the bank and bought $20 in gold and silver dollars.  He put them in a felt bag and buried them in her front yard. He has already created a treasure map from her back door to the treasure at the front of their 1 1/2 acre yard.  She was so excited when she finally dug it up.

Here are the two gift bags that I made for her gifts.

I had so much fun creating for her party.  I am kinda princess-ed out!  I never thought I'd get to do a pirate theme.  I hope she picks a fun theme next year too!  My luck, it will be Justin Beibers........

I don't know what I did different to these cupcakes, but they were the best ever! The frosting is Dunkin Hines fluffy white and the cake mix was DH yellow.  These were for my class.  I use a reward system to encourage them to use their best behavior and turn in all their assignments.  This time it was cupcakes and I think I heard them discussing pie for the next celebration.  I usually have to bake some goodies about every 6 weeks.

Schools Out!!!!!! I intend to fully enjoy my two weeks off. Mattie's daycare will be closed next week, so I'll have her for about three days. We will find something to do, I'm sure.
I completed two flip books, a dozen Giant Cookies, and a small scrapbook over the last few days. Like I said "Late Nights". I finished four candy boxes this afternoon too!
The cookies I made last night were the Giant Chocolate Chip. I think these are my favorite of all the flavors.
Here is a picture of all the cookies completed.

Here are the last of the Christmas Card Exchange. All the cards are just beautiful, thank you for participating in my card exchange.
Tonight I got busy! I baked a batch of Giant Sugar Cookies. Once they were cool, I stamped 5" x 5" CD/DVD envelopes and made belly bands for them. They are so adorable and the cookies fit in them perfectly. These are such a simple Christmas gift.
Margi came over to stamp with me tonight. I finished the cookies, and made two double Snowman Soups. I did this by packaging the ingredients for the snowman soup in a cup. I put about ten mini-marshmallows in a small cellophane bag and tied it with a ribbon. Then I put two hot chocolate mixes, the marshmallows, two candy canes, and two Hershey Kisses in the cup. Then I packaged the cups in a large cellophane bag and tied it ribbon.

I have had a very busy week so far. We had Monday night club and I taught a class at Priceless last night. It went very well, so I guess I teach something for her again next month. Here are a few thing that I made over the last few day, weeks, whatever. I can't keep up with time anymore...
Here are some of the jars of coffee creamer. These are the Chocolate Mint and the Malted flavors.
I got my first Christmas card last week. This one is from Selda

Gibbons. Is this not just as cute as it can be. I love getting handmade cards. Thank you Selda!

I had to prepare the projects for my club meeting Monday. I finished the projects for Thursdays club meeting too. It's nice to have that behind me. I also finished the touch-ups on that wall I was working on. Now, all the furniture can be put back in place. I have a few things that I want to organize before Monday. Tomorrow I need to work on the programs for the Cruz-Lopez wedding.
Here is the door prize that I will give away on Monday. Yep! Solid Milk Chocolate Mini Hershey candy bars. I covered each candy bar and made a matching belly-band. Glitter, don't forget the glitter!
