I came home from work full of good intentions. I wanted to paint the back of the door and the closet door in the bathroom. I fixed dinner, washed a load of clothes and walked two miles on the treadmill. I am at a really good part in the book that I'm reading so I walked further than I usually do. My leg cramped up on me, so I sat on the edge of the bed. The next thing I knew I was waking up from a good nap. Oh well, I must have needed it. lol
This is the other card that I made last night when Bonnie and Lynnor were over stamping with me. As you can tell, I used the some of the same scrap designer paper that I used on the other card.
That's because I'm basically lazy and didn't feel like looking for a different piece that matched. lol The stamp set is a level 3 Hostess set called Time Well Spent.
Bonnie and Lynnor came by to stamp last night. We had a good time but it was over before we knew it. I started two cards, and finished them after everyone left. On this one I used the stamp set For Father, from the Occasions Mini Collection. Thanks for letting me use your stamp set Lynnor. I used some of my scrap paper to finish off my card. A little ribbon and bling is always a good thing. I will share the other card tomorrow. Till then, have a wonderful day. It seems to have cooled down a little.

Good Morning, I was cleaning off my work station and came across these trees that I had started. This is one of my favorite stamp sets. I stamped the trees in Handsome Hunter on white cs. Then I sponged different colors in the background. Then I stamped the trees in white staz-on, on a sheet of acetate. I layered the acetate sheet over the other trees slightly offset. (down and over) I like the look, it's so Winter! I know I should be stamping spring, I will now that my table is almost cleaned off. I had at least fifteen stamp sets out, along with a multitude of other things.

Good Morning,
I don't know where yesterday went. I stayed busy, but I can't say that I got anything done. This is totally CASED. Sorry, I can't remember who I copied it from. Don't you just love this DP paper by Stampin' Up, it's called Ginger Blossom. It sure makes beautiful cards.

I have a baby shower to attend today. Here is a 6x6 shadow box for the new baby. The shadow box opens and includes 6 specimen pins so they can add 3-D items to the box. I made a card that matches, which holds a gift-card.
I used the Stampin' Up set called Bundle of Joy, and the CuttleBug to create this set.

Hey, Good news! Stampin' Up is now accepting credit cards! I can keep your credit card securely on file (encrypted) if you chose, so you can order whenever you want. Those from farther away (US only) just send me your information via email, and your order will be processed ASAP. This is so exciting, have a great day!
I pulled out a set that I have not used in a very long time called Sun-Ripened. I love all the fruit sets. I embossed the fruit in black and used markers to color in the picture.
I had a busy night last night. I love it! It keeps me out of the snacks... lol.
I fixed baked fish and scallops simmered in butter for dinner. The baked beans were the best I have fixed in a long time. Then I walked two miles on the tread-mill and read another two chapters in the book Bride Needs Groom.
I adhered the tile back splash to the wall in the bathroom. I have to wait 24 hours before I can grout it. I hope to get that done tonight.
Then I stamped! I created the three pictures that I want to hang in the bathroom. I'm not crazy about this last one so I may redo it. I have got to get to work, so have a wonderful day!

We had a great time at the Stampers Ten Club meeting Monday night. I still haven't gotten into my stamp room, but I do have some beautiful birthday cards to share. My birthday just keeps on going. I love it! Keep those cards coming.
These are from Debbie, Lynnor, and Rho-Nan.
These are from Lynn, Brenda, and Ethel. Thank you all for the beautiful cards expressing wondrous birthday wishes. You are all so talented. I am thankful that I have had the opportunity to get to know each of you.

Sorry that I did not stamp this weekend. I had both of my granddaughters from Friday night until 3:00 Sunday. We stayed very busy. We took them in the boat Saturday and stopped at Pine Island to let them swim. As you can see, they had so much fun.
Here is another picture that Matt took of scenic Florida. I love his photographs.

My Thursday Stampers Ten Club meeting was last night. I think they all enjoyed the projects. When I got home, I kicked back, put my feet up and watched a little TV. I don't seem to get to do that very much anymore. This card is CASED from the Stampin' Up catalog, I may have changed it just a little bit, but not much. I have to keep this short this morning. Again, I have a million things to do before I go to work. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I am reading a book by Wendy Markham called Bride Needs Groom. It's a cute story about a girl that has to get married or she will lose her inheritance. I think I have seen a movie that is very similar, but its still a pretty good book. I spent most of this evening getting ready for my Stampers' Ten club meeting tomorrow night. I used one of the Sale-A-Bration sets called Merci for this card. I love the sweet delicate little butterfly. The paper is Stampin' Up's old olive designer paper.
Stamper's Ten club meetings for April are scheduled for Thursday the 17th and Monday the 21st. If your not sure which one you are to attend, contact me. lol We will be meeting at Debbie's house in Ocala. Look for the directions in your email. I thought I would give you a peek at our projects. You may want to bring a photograph for the picture holder.

I wanted something masculine, so I CASED this card by AmyRSavy. I like the use of the twine.
I used the set called Noble Deer, designer paper by K & Company, Rose Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock by Stampin' Up.

Sonny and I went to Pine Island on the Ocklawaha River to hang out with J.P. and Zack and all their peeps. (family and friends) They had about ten people camping with them. We went over for about 3-4 hours to hang out with them. Several other boats stopped to swim and swing on the rope swing. We have been swimming there for about 15-16 years. Maybe even longer, I know that J.P. was only 7 or 8 when he started jumping out of the big oak tree that hung out over the water. Fun, Fun, Fun!
I woke up early this morning and decided to work on the clock that I wanted for my new, fresh and exciting bathroom. What do you think? I am really happy with the results. I used K & Company paper. Classic Bold Numbers by Stampendous, Rub-Ons by Stampin' Up. The circle in the center was stamped using Garden Silhouettes. I repainted the towel rack and painted a smaller one to put by the sink. We went to Lowe's to get the trim, and would you know that it started raining! I don't know what has come over me.....I bought paint for the utility room and picked out colors for other rooms in the house! Nuts I say, pure Nuts! Or maybe I have become possessed by Color .....

Saturday, April 12, 2008

Late last night I decided to stamp a card using my bathroom as the inspiration. Here is what I came up with: This is really very close to what it looks like. When I finish I will include a picture of the bathroom. I still need to paint the towel hanger and put up the tile around the sink, as well as a few other things. I plan to stamp the trim to match the cream section of the card. Hmmm, we'll see!

I finished another project that has been haunting me every time I go into my stamp room. All I had left to do was put the pictures on it. This was an annual trip to Daytona Beach with our granddaughter Catherine. I guess Madison will be able to join us soon.
I went shopping today for a shower curtain, a bathroom rug and a plant stand for the porch. It took all day, but I was very successful. I still have more work to do in that bathroom. One thing leads to another.

Thursday, April 10, 2008

Good afternoon,
I cleaned the utility room. There really is a floor in there. It's a small room, but it took all day to clean it up. We can even use the back door.
I wanted to post a technique that I learned from Michelle Zindorf's blog. She stamped the image in Blush Blossom and then used markers to color the image in. Here are two that I did like this.
Well I'm off the Lowe's, I need more paint and trim. I don't think this will ever end.

Wednesday, April 9, 2008

Monday was my birthday. Sonny and I spent the day together, he even went shopping with me ! Thanks for the many birthday wishes.
Bonnie, Patti, and Margi came over to stamp last night. I used the Basket Full of Fun stamp set to create this card with a pull-out tag.
I painted the main bath, but I'm thinking it may be a little bright. So, unless I want to issue sunglasses to those who wish to use the bathroom, I need to figure out a way to tone it down a little.

Monday, April 7, 2008

Good morning, as you can tell, I am on break this week. I don't know how much I will get to stamp. I have a long list of things that need to be done. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. I will try to stop in with some inspiration from time to time. Have a great Spring Break!

Thursday, April 3, 2008

I'm reading a book called White Midnight, by Dia Calhoun. It's about a bond girl who is forced to marry the "Thing", that has been locked in an attic since birth, to win her families freedom from bondage. I'm having a little trouble putting it down.
Here are the cards that I stamped the other night at Bonnie's. I used the set called Infinite Goodness, a new hostess set.

Wednesday, April 2, 2008

Thank goodness for "Sister Night". I guess I needed to get out of the house. I did stamp a few things at Bonnie's last night. Bonnie and Patti and I shared some ideas, stamps, strawberries and good conversation. I stamped two cards and finished a peg board that I have been working on. I bought this peg board at Target, dollar spot. I then altered it by taping strips of ribbon on the cork board. I covered the frame with a printed paper, cutting out additional flowers to decorate the frame with. I didn't like the cheap little round plastic push pins, so I stamped a butterfly and a dragonfly on shrink paper. Once I shrank them I used Crystal Effects to glue them to standard tacks.
The stamp set I used for the push pins is one of my all time favorites called "Wonderful Wings", its retired.

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

I tried stamping last night and found that I had no creativity at all. I organized stamps and stickers for another scrapbook that I am working on. I thought that might give me some inspiration.... No luck!
This is the card that I made for Madison's birthday this year. Yes, she turned two and she loves ducks. The duck stamp is by Suzy's Zoo, it's a row of three little ducks.
