I should wait to post this tomorrow, but we are going shrimping. I finished the dress and the lollipops. I can't wait to see her in it Sunday.
Madison's Princess dress is almost finished. I will put the zipper in it today and it will be ready. I can't wait to see her face! She's going to be so excited. I made some sour cream treat boxes for her party. I used a Disney Sleeping Beauty stamp that Catherine had left here to decorate the boxes. I filled them with Skittles. I've started making white and pink chocolate candy lollipops. This is the first time I've tried to mold candy, but they are turning out pretty good.

I finished the wedding invitations. Now, I can focus on the programs. I need to complete 75 of those. I started sewing Madison's princess dress. I can't wait to get it finished. I found a piece of beautiful sheer fabric that has little pink and white flower vines embroidered all over it. I'm making a little overskirt out of it. The dress will be made out of light pink satin. If it turns out anything like what's planned in my head she will be the fairest little princess in all the land! lol

Here are this seasons penguin stamps by Impress Rubber Stamps. http://www.impressrubberstamps.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MB_summer_penguins_2008&Category_Code= If you open the pdf file above you can actually use the images. (shhhh, don't tell anyone) I entered a card in their contest, with me luck! (I never win anything, but I keep trying)
I worked on the wedding invitations most of the day. I have over half of them completely finished and the other have just need to be taped together. Janet, I know you will be happy! I still need to print and cut the RSVP cards.

Joy was the winner of the raffle at Open House. She was very excited when I called her to let her know. I know she can't wait to get her hands on all her new In-Colors.

I asked Madison what she wanted for her third birthday. She wants a Pink Princess Dress. So, I have about two days to get that made. I'll be busy for the next few days.

I took some pictures of Aiden (Debbie's Grandson). Here are a few of my favorites.

I had a good day today. Sonny and I picked up my son, daughter-in-law and Madison and went to Dad's. JP and Sonny set up a trout line, I mowed the grass for dad and Madison and Tammy fished off the dock. I think Dad was feeling a little down, he slept most of the day. His lower leg and foot are still swollen which causes mobility problems. He has not had an appetite for several days. I don't have any new projects to share, so I picked this picture that I took of my brother on a beach down near Clearwater. It looks like the sky is on fire.

We had a great time at my Open House. Unfortunantly I did not have time to take any pictures. I bet I walked 20 miles just inside Debbie's house going from one room to the other checking everyone progress, getting supplies etc. I loved it! I had a wonderful time, a big thanks goes out to all of you.

Just a little hint... Joy, check that last ticket that you purchased. I think it might be the one. Call me to make arrangements for delivery.
Thanks to all of you! Your the best!

I stayed up late preparing for My Stampin Up Open House tomorrow. I have baked two batches of brownies, two batched of Oatmeal Caramel Bars and made two batches of chocolate pudding. The pudding and brownies are for a layered dessert. The layers are brownies, chocolate pudding mixed with whipped cream, sprinkled with raspberries and whipped cream. You do this twice and sprinkle more raspberries on top.
Here is one more project that we will be creating tomorrow...... OK here are two more!
I hope to see you tomorrow.

I finished texturing the wall in the family room. I'm going to let it sit for a few days before I paint it. It will be nice to get the furniture back in place. I will still have to do the other side of the room. But that can wait for now. It will be painted a different color anyway.
I have almost finished cleaning my craft room. In the last two weeks I have tossed out seven 30 gallon trash bags of junk, trash, (You know, the stuff you save because it's too good to throw out and you may use it one day!). I am not going to be a pack-rat. I can't find it when I want it anyway so, out it goes. OK, I did keep a little of it!
This is one of my favorite retired sets. Bring some extra white paper to stamp some images for later. I will send out a list of supplies that I will be using. If you have any to bring with you it may save some time. You won't have to wait to use the item in question. See you Thursday!
I still have a little more work to do before I can put the sofa back in place. It's looking good! I can't wait to get it painted. Sonny needs to rewire one of the outlets and he's going to run an electric line for a light switch on the far end of the front porch. I want to put a fan with a light down there. This technique will take a little longer. Two-step stamping gives beautiful results. These are the new In-Colors. (Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss) Sweet color combo!

I have been in cleaning mode for about a week. I have completely cleaned out the closet in my craft room and now I'm working on the closet in the spare bedroom. I finally went to Lowe's to get supplies to finish the wall in the family room. I also picked up some paint. It's a mix of Certainly Celery and Mello Moss. I'll finish texturing tomorrow and try to paint on Monday.
Here is another Project Preview for Open House on Thursday. You'll be ready the next time you need to wrap a baby gift. I used the stamp set called Nursery Necessities and a little ribbon. It's such a sweet little gift bag.

Yesterday was very busy for me. I am in the process of texturing the walls in the family room. I need to make a trip to Lowe's to finish it up, but I really didn't feel like going anywhere. So, all the furniture is pushed into the middle of the room. Oh, what FUN!!!
I worked in my stamp room most of the day. Prepping for Open House next week. It looks like there will be a good turn out. The new In-Colors for the 08-09 year are beautiful and look how well they coordinate with the new Bella Rose DP. This is another project for Open House. Remember that the Groovy Guava paper will only be available for three more weeks. This card uses The stamp set called Pick A Petal and a new set called Heard From The Heart.

I woke up to a light rain this morning. I was hoping it would stop before Shannon's wedding and it did. The wedding went well, everything was beautiful. Here is a picture of Bonnie and Shannon. This picture is of Bonnie, her two daughters, and her three granddaughters. It's a nice family photo. Well, I guess you can tell that I got my camera battery charged. So, here is the card that I did last Tuesday. That was the last day I got to stamp this week. He is such a wise old owl. The wicked tree branch is from Impress Rubber Stamps. I used color pencils and gamsol to color the owl and background.

I've been gone so long that my blog did not recognize me. I had to look up my password. lol I've been on vacation. I spent some time with my granddaughters. They wore me out at Disney World. It was so much fun watching them enjoy themselves. Madison was not having any part of the Haunted Mansion. Catherine is so cute in her mouse ears. Madison enjoyed the flying carpet ride in Adventure land. I don't know what to tell you about this last picture . . . Every little girl should have a chipmunk on her head at least once. I have a card that I made Tuesday night at Bonnie's, but I have to charge the battery in my camera before I can take a picture for you. Look for news on my Open House coming in your email soon.

Stampin' Up is running a special on there Hodgepodge Hardware while supplies last. Hodgepodge Hardware Discount (See page 188) Dates: July 1-August 10 (or while supplies last) Promotion Details: The Hodgepodge Hardware finishes are being offered at a special 25 percent discount. I will be sending in an order this week if anyone wants to order any of these at the discount price. Remember that I do take credit cards. Madison spent the night with Catherine last night. I took them up to Margi's house to swim and visit. Maddie swam in her shorts, because we didn't have her bathing suit with us. We had a great time. They entertained each other and let me pick up around here and run the vacuum. I'm sticking to the garden theme with my cards. Catherine and I were out there planting some ivy and pulled some poison oak this evening. The marigolds took a beating last week in the hail, but it looks so much better today.

I managed to squeeze in a few minutes to finish this notebook last night. I have really enjoyed the Seaside set by Stampin' Up. It's so easy to make you own little shell collage by using the "masking technique". If your not sure how to mask, email me and I will send you directions.
