Sonny and I went to Dad's today. I mowed the grass and Sonny cleared along the waters edge. He put new line and hooks on all the cane poles. He worked on the yard light in the front yard, but we will have to go back to finish that.
Here is another garden card that I finished up this morning.
I really like the way this card turned out.

Sonny and I worked in the yard today. He mowed the grass, while I picked up limbs that have blown down this week and planted some plant clippings that I have been rooting. I grilled ribs for dinner. They were delicious, the meat just about fell off the bone.
I actually got some stamping time this afternoon. Sonny took Catherine on a junk run, and I took that little bit of quiet time to stamp. Since I had been in the garden all day, I decided to pull out some of my garden stamps.

Today flew by. I had to run some errands in town, but I came right back with very little damage to my bank account.
I had a great time at Lynnor's yesterday. It was nice visiting with everyone. Lynnor had a nice little turn out. Besides me, there was Debbie, Bea, Ethel and Patti. To bad the rest of you couldn't make it, because we had a great time.
I promised to stamp and I did. Yesterday I worked on the wedding invitations and today I stamped with the new Fresh Cut Sneak Peak set; I love being a demonstrator, I get early access to all the cool new stuff. This is what I came up with. I used the felt flowers from page 177, called Flower Fusion, they come in a tin of 130 flowers. The center is from page 189, Fire and Ice Rhinestone Brads. (I will be giving both the Fire and Ice Rhinestone brads away as door prizes in July!) How did you like the Rose Red, maybe the Old Olive is more your color. If not how do you like the Pumpkin Pie? Maybe you can decide when you see them all together? Or.....perhaps you would rather see all nine of them?

Well, I promised that I would stamp today and I did. I just don't have anything to share with you. I did complete one card that turned out so stinkin' cute that I sent it in to one of the magazines for a card contest. For those of you that do not know how to use your Crop-a-dile, here is a sight that may help you with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwWtcrQc5Ok I got back from the grocery store just in time today. After the wind, torrential downpour, and hail stopped, I went to my truck to get the rest of my groceries out and put them up. I needed to put some meat in the freezer, which is in the shop/laundry room. I am so glad that I looked down before I entered the laundry room. There was a small (1 1/2') snake right on the other side of the door mat. I backed out and the stare down began. My mind was racing (What kind of snake is he? Where was the hoe? It's in the corner on the other side of him! Oh, c@a$! Don't let him get away....What kind is he? If he goes under the washer, I will never do laundry again! Where is Catherine? She's over by the pond, don't call her. I don't have shoes on! He's going to bite my toe!) I guess he won the stare down. By now my eyes were darting around the yard for something to kill him with. Ah ha! Sonny left the shovel out the other day. I put the meat in my hand on the hood of my truck and ran for the shovel. As I approached him with the shovel he headed under the washer. NO! I almost tore the entire room apart trying to keep him from getting away. Finally, I had his body pinned with the shovel. Now, what the heck am I going to do? I had him pinned, but how long could I hold him. Sure enough, the Calvary showed up.... Sonny pulled up just in time. He came in and killed the snake .... It was a young rattlesnake! It was hard to tell what it was, because it was in the process of molting. I guess all the rain we have had lately has all the animals looking for higher, dryer land. We saw four of the cutiest baby armidillos in the driveway coming in from town. I'am going to stamp, right now! I hope to see you at Lynnor's tomorrow.

I'm back from Daytona Beach. We had a great time with the girls. JP and Tammy came over for Saturday and Sunday. Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I only took the camera on the beach once. I didn't want to get sand and salt in it. I promise to stamp something tomorrow! See you then....

Zack's friend came over today to get me to help her make a card for her grandmother. She wanted something special for her 76th birthday. She wanted to combine southwestern with light blue, two of her grandmothers favorites. This is the first card she has ever made and it turned out beautiful. I may have gently nudged her this way or that, but I think she was really happy with the way the card turned out.
I wanted to give you one more creation for the weekend. I water colored this frog over at Margi's earlier this week. I sprinkled him with glitter and set him up to find a mate. This froggie has gone a courting...... lol
I will be out of town for the weekend. I'll be back Sunday. Have a wonderful, safe weekend.

Today's Splitcoaststampers Challenge is "Way to Use It". They want you to use photos with you stamp projects. I don't have time to create a new project because I should be getting ready for tonights Stampers Ten meeting. Since this is something that I do all the time, I wanted to share a few of my older ones. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/594495?nocache=1 http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/600007?nocache=1

No stamping today! I took my girls to Daytona Beach. It was Madison's first trip to the beach. She loved the waves. From the time her feet hit the sand she did not stop. Catherine couldn't even keep up with her. The only problem....she was not afraid of the water at all. She kept licking the salt water off her lips. We all had a great time and didn't want to leave.
But, Till next time.................

I participated in today's color challenge on SCS. I used last weeks sketch challenge too! You know, kill two challenges in one crop! lol The color challenge is CC171, soft sky, basic black, and Kraft. Here is my card: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/949745?cat=500&ppuser=5104 The Stampers Ten meeting went well last night. We actually used vellum on a card. Brenda cooked up some fantastic snacks for us. Thanks Brenda, they were so yummy! Great choice.

Stampin' Up's fall retirement list is out. If this link doe's not work go to the Stampin' up website at http://www.stampinup.com/, and click on the retired list.
Wouldn't you know that the two that I just have to have are the most expensive ones on the list. I have such good taste!
I did a home party for Kelly yesterday. She had a good turnout, and picked out some great hostess gifts. Thanks to everyone who came or ordered something. You helped make her party a success. Thanks Kelly it was fun. Here are the projects that we did at Kelly's;
I picked up Catherine on the way home. She will be staying the week with me. She is busy making plans for us. I'm tired all ready.
I'll see Monday Nights Stampers Ten group tomorrow night. Bring your basic kit to Priceless.... that means you too Joy!
Wonder if I could get by with giving Sonny a few of those retiring stamp sets for Fathers Day? Do you think he would suspect anything?

Friday, June 13, 2008

Today is my son Zack's birthday. Happy 24th birthday Zack! I finished this card using the Best of Cluck stamp set. The chicken coop is another one of Lynnor's stamps by Rubbernecker.
I've been going to get Margi in the evening. I've been cooking for her while her husband has to work. She's still very week, but she's getting better. She looks a little better each day.

Thursday, June 12, 2008

Today is Bonnie's birthday. Happy Birthday! I finished this card yesterday. It's another one of Lynnor's frogs. Check out his sexy eyes. lol I am still having problems with my new bedtime. I went to bed at 9:47 last night and stared at the ceiling until well after midnight. I woke up around 2 and again at 3:30. I finally gave it up and got out of bed around 4. I figured that I don't have to work today, so I can take a nap.

Whoops! I must have taken a break....lol. Not really, I've been very busy. Tammy and I took Madison to have her ears pierced Monday. She was so good, she did have quite a shocked look on her face when they pierced her ears.
Yesterday I finished two more bridal bouquets for Shannon. I started the last one, but ran out of the small white roses. I need to go to Hobby Lobby to get another stem.
Bonnie, Lynnor, and Pattie came over to stamp last night. I used one of Lynnor's new stamps from Rubbernecker. Isn't he one of the cutest frogs you have ever seen?

Sunday, June 8, 2008

Sonny and I grilled steaks on our new gas grill. It's been sitting in the living room for a week now. Sonny couldn't figure out why he had so many leftover nuts, bolts, and screws. (read the directions!) lol The steaks were great and it's nice to have a gas grill again.
No stamping last night. I left priceless, went by Sam's club to pick up a few things and worked on Bonnie's daughter's wedding flowers. I finished the maid of honor's bouquet. Now, I only have three more to do.
When I got home from town, my nosey neighbor was out by the fence to see what I was up too. So, I walked over to talk to him. Then Sonny came out with a hand full of carrots. We spoil him rotten sometimes. I'll have to start claiming him on my taxes if carrots and apples keep going up.

Saturday, June 7, 2008

I finished this card last night. I think I only have one or two of these water colorings left. The May Stampers Ten orders will be at Priceless today. Stop by and see me or Bonnie to get your order.

Friday, June 6, 2008

I will start the day be being an enabler. Eureka Rubber Stamps has all their unmounted stamps at half price. Because they are unmounted the shipping is very reasonable, like $2.
I went to visit Margi Wednesday. There was a caution sign on her door.... on top of everything else she now has Mersi. They are talking about letting her come home Saturday. She is still in room 411 at Ocala Regional. I talked to Debbie yesterday, she said that her new grandson has been in ICU since Sunday. They have mentioned that he may also have Mersi. Please keep both of them in your prayers.
I was on a roll last night . . . four cards from my stack of put it away, throw it away, whatever stack of stuff. I really like a few of them. lol
I don't know what I had the green cards and envelopes out for, but they are cards now. This 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" card and envelope was on my work area too. Oh, you wouldn't believe everything out on my work table. I'll have to take a picture for you . SEE! I told you that I needed to do something with it. It has even overflowed to the table behind me.

Thursday, June 5, 2008

I made these cards, at the last minute of course, for my two eighth graders that will be going to the high school. I used my left overs again. I am getting that pile whittled down. I think they both turned out good.
I made this card for another student that I moved out of self-contained a year and a half ago. She will also go to the high school.

Wednesday, June 4, 2008

I didn't get much done last night. I am trying to change my sleep patterns. I just don't feel that I get enough sleep. My new bedtime is 10:00. lol Yeah, right! Sunday night, I went right to sleep and woke up every two hours to see if I was sleeping. At 2:00 I couldn't get back to sleep, so I watched TV for an hour and a half. Monday night I couldn't get to sleep, I tossed and turned until after midnight, then I woke up at 2:00 and 4:30. Now, last night I was tired from the other two nights and I slept really good. I think I'm going to wear myself out, just trying to get a good nights sleep. Yesterday was Patti's birthday, I hope everyone remembered to tell her happy birthday. If not, get out those belated birthday stamps. Bonnie has been feeling under the weather so she didn't come over for Sister's Stamping night. I did a quick card, I'm talking 3 minutes tops. This is all left-overs laying around in my way. The brown card, was an extra that I made for the owl card earlier this week. The pink dotted swiss is left over from the Cruz thank you cards and the image is one of those that I told you about yesterday. I have many more looking for homes. It's alright, but I'm not crazy about it. It almost looks like it was made out of left-overs. lol

Tuesday, June 3, 2008

We start final exams today. I have been packing up my room for the last two weeks. It looks odd with everything off the walls. Everything has to be packed in boxes and off the floor. This sometimes gets tricky but we will survive it.
I worked on the Cruz wedding cards again last night. Then I used up some more of the leftovers scattered around on my work table. Here is the card that I created last night.
I have seven or eight of these flowers stamped up and water colored. I did them months ago, maybe years ago. They have been pushed aside, put away, taken back out, you see where I am going with this. It's way past time to do something with them. The checked paper has been cut into 4x5 sheets sitting there forever too! The corners were leftover from the owl cards that I did earlier this week.

Monday, June 2, 2008

I had to get my laundry done yesterday and finish my grocery shopping. We had roast with potatoes and carrots. It was very good, and will be the last time until the weather cools off again. I have been working on the wedding invitations for the Cruz wedding. I work for a little while and then get side tracked to something else. I started cleaning off my work table. This is one of the cards that I made from stuff on my table. The flowers are from Garden Silhouettes stamp set. The card with matching envelope, ribbon, and paper scraps were on my work table.

Debbie is a new grandma. Aidan was born on June 1st, at 12:03am. he weighs 9 lb 7 oz. and is 21" long.

Congratulations!

I actually slept in yesterday morning, and it felt so good. I called Margi around noon to check on her. I didn't want to go into town if they had sent her home. They were taking her in for a cat scan. Poor thing had three of them yesterday. They don't know why her white cell count is so high, so they are trying to eliminate what is not causing it. I took some shampoo and conditioner with me and washed her hair for her. I can't stand it if I don't wash mine for two days, she has gone almost two weeks. It was tricky, it wore her out, but she is beautiful again.
Sonny fried shrimp for dinner as I worked on some flowers for the Cruz wedding. These are not for the wedding party, I'm not real clear who they are for. But they turned out nice, they are in the pink and brown colors of the wedding invitations. Oh, the shrimp were fantastic. It's almost shrimping season again. I can't wait to get out there and net some more this year. I froze at least 15 quarts of shrimp last year.
My gardenia is in full bloom. This bush is a monster, it's at least 12 ft. tall and 8 ft. around. I am standing on the back stoop and I have to hold the camera over my head to get this angle. My African Iris has bloomed more than it ever has this year too. They are slowing down now, but there has been anywhere from 7 - 12 blooms open along the sidewalk at a time.
