Sonny and I went to the hospital last night to see Margi. She is still at Ocala Regional, Room 411. Her white cell count is up again so they are keeping her until they can figure out what is going on. She called in another doctor that is more aggressive. She has more confidence in this doctor than the other one.
I saw this card layout on the Hero Arts web-site and fell in love with it. This birthday card was made for someone special.
I used the stamp set called Bird Assortment by clear stamps. The background is a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and the tree branch was stamped using the Stampin' Up set called Garden Silhouettes.

It's Friday! Yes!!! I like my job, but I am ready for the weekend. Maybe I can get something done around here. I have this thing for owls right now. I have just bought two different sets of clear stamps, just for the owls. I have heard through the grapevine that Stampin' Up is coming out with an owl set in the next catalog. Can't wait! I created this set of 3 x 3 note cards with the set called Birds Galore, by Clear Stamps. I stamped a tree branch on the envelope using the SU set called Amazing. The corners on the card are a Sizzix die cut .... I punched the holes in them. I made these for an upcoming birthday, but I may have to keep them. lol

I had a great evening, I even felt a little creative. Sonny fixed sirloin tips wrapped in tortillas with cheese. It was a nice change. I need more meals like that now that summer is here. I found this fish basket, by Velita Reynolds, on Splitcoast stampers last night. I just realized that I forgot to add a ribbon handle to it. I thought it made the cutest Father's Day card. I used the stamp set called Fishy Friends, and I used a punch to create the bobber. The latch, buckle, and hole in the basket were all cut free-hand. The hook is a stamp by Stampabilities. I stamped the fish on designer paper and pieced them together. The background texture is done with the Cuttlebug. I guess I had better go add the ribbon handle before I forget again.

I went to Bonnie's last night to work on the wedding thank you cards. I have completed all seventy-five of them. I need to find out if she wants anything stamped on the inside of the cards, then I will turn them over to her. I started stamping the flower image that will be on the invitation itself. I stamped sixty of them last night, and water colored at least thirty of those. Margi is in a room now! She is in room 411, at Ocala Regional. I guess she has another infection that she is fighting. Write, call or send a card, I think she's feeling a little down....thanks!

I really enjoyed the long weekend. I hope you all had a safe holiday. Margi is still in the hospital. They still have her in SICU, but they are reducing her pain medication. Thanks again to everyone who has sent her a get well card. Sonny and I took her a book on tape Sunday afternoon. She is so weak, all of her nourishment comes from a tube. All they give her is ice chips. I haven't been stamping much this week. I did get this little folder done Saturday, at Priceless. I am working on the wedding cards, I forgot how many layers I had on them. I hope everyone has a great day.

I have been at the hospital for the last few days, so there has not been very much stamping going on. Here is an altered bottle that I created for Sheryl. It's filled with different little stamps. They took Margi into surgery this afternoon. She will be in SIC for seventy-two hours. They want to make sure that they do not have to go back in. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has sent her a card, she can use some cheering up right now.

I had a very busy day. I went right to the hospital after work. Margi is feeling a little better. I guess she will be there for a least a week. Here is the card that I made for her. My sister-in-law, Margi is in the hospital. Please keep her in your prayers, they were going to put a drainage tube in her abdomen today. She has diverticulitis and it appears to be seeping. It must run in the family, because my husband has it too.
I have been working on the wedding invitations for a friend. I completed 40 of the thank you cards. We have decided to do 125 invitations, 75 thank you cards and 75 programs. I also need to finish the four other bouquets for Bonnie's daughters wedding in July. Then there are these birthdays that keep sneaking up on me. Happy Birthday Lynnor! I hope you had a wonderful day.
Here is the card that I made for Lynnor's birthday.

Another full weekend. Matthew, Candace and all three kid came up to spend the weekend camping on our property. J.P. and Tammy stopped by and decided to join them. So they went home and got their tent. It's almost 2:00 am and I just came in from the campfire. I will be sleeping in my nice soft bed. We have all had fun, but boy am I tired. I made one of my niece's bouquets for her wedding while they went for a boat ride this afternoon. This will be her throw-a-way bouquet. I love the glittered butterfly that I added. Madison wants one, now that I had her model with this one.
I also have finished remodeling my bathroom. I have some before and after pictures to share with you. Before:
Here are some after pictures:
I textured and painted the walls, put up a tile back splash around the sink, and painted the inside doors and trim. I bought a new shower curtain, rugs, trash can and towel bars. I couldn't find the towels bars that I wanted, so I bought them in a different color and painted them the color that I wanted. Then I created the clock, and pictures to match the shower curtain. Well, that was fun! Now, I'm off to attack the utility room. It's a good thing that summer is coming. I know in my heart that the utility room in going to spill into the kitchen. Yuk!

Thursday, May 15, 2008

Good Morning everyone,
I came home and started picking up for my club meeting tonight. We had left overs for dinner. I went in the bathroom and finished all the little touch-ups with the paint. At least I thought I did, I found another place! I still haven't put the towel bar up. Soon!
This is my favorite card from this weekend. Although, Lynnor had one that I was really diggin' on too! This is the coupon holder I made using the unmounted Bo Bunny stamps.

There is so much more to tell you about our Fun weekend. Be sure to ask Patti if she was hungry Saturday evening. Bonnie, Linda and Patti decided to go to Clawdaddys for dinner. The rest of us bowed out, choosing to have spicy chicken sandwiches at home. We fixed our dinner and went to sit on the front porch and look out over the water. I asked Lynnor if the fencepost was on the ground when we arrived the day before. Then we noticed the tire marks.... The girls must have been hungry! They took out the fence leaving the driveway. We laughed our butts off! Patti will take some teasing for that one. This is Linda, Lynnor and me. We played as hard as we worked. lol Lynnor and I on the back patio.
Here are two of the small boxes that I made. The only thing stamped is the tag on the box on the left.
Here is a list of the things that we made as a group: 9 CD holders, 5 books, 3 covered albums, 32 cards, 1 stationary folder, 1 clipboard, 1 coupon book, 1 altered jar, 1 altered frame,4 scrapbook pages and more fun than a normal person can handle. It's a good thing none of us are normal! lol
Oh wow! What a weekend. I really don't know where to begin. I left here at 3:15 Friday, to head to Crystal River for our weekend stamp fest. Lynnor and I got there just in time to unload my truck, with all the goodies that we could not live the weekend without. Then we got in the boat and went over to the restaurant (Crackers) for dinner. Then we returned back to Debbie's house to let the stamp fest begin.
This is some of our community supplies. The room looked like Hobby Lobby exploded in the middle of Debbie's house.
Here is a picture of our project table before Bonnie, Patti, and Linda arrived. These were all done Friday night by Debbie, Lynnor and myself.

So sorry I guess the week got away from me. I have been so busy packing for my weekend trip that I have neglected my blog. I not only neglected it, I didn't realize that I hadn't posted in days. !!! Here is a card that I made at Bonnie's on Tuesday. I don't know the maker of the stamp, it belongs to Lynnor. I'm sad to say, but that was the last time I stamped anything. I have been getting ready to go to Crystal River for our annual Stamp-a-thon. If you get a chance, come over and join the fun.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

I have so much on my list of things to do. I don't know where to start sometimes. I should be packing my stuff to go to Bonnie's tonight, but here I am on the computer. I came home from work yesterday and Sonny and I headed right into town to get tires for my truck. I thought the doorknobs were expensive! Wow, these are the most expensive tires I have ever had. Oh, well I had to have them, it had gotten so bad I didn't want to drive any long distances from the house.
No stamping last night. I did cover this little gift tin. I just bought a paper stack by basic gray called Archaic. I love the look of this paper. I taped a piece of ribbon around the edge of the top, added a couple of flowers and topped it off with some major bling. The word inspire is a rub on.

I kept Madison an extra night this weekend, so J.P. and Tammy could go camping. We did a little shopping. She was quick to inform me that we had to go into a store to buy her something. I bought these little stamps at Priceless. They are so cute! After she left Sunday, I made another trip to Lowe's to get new door knobs for the bathroom. I figured that I had to take them off to paint the door, I may as well change them. Have you priced door knobs lately? Why would anyone pay $60 for an inside door knob? I found some in my price range and bought some plants for the garden with the money I saved. I finished painting the doors and the trim. Now, all I have left to paint is the trim around the tub and finish the touch-ups.

Saturday, May 3, 2008

No stamping for me. My son J.P. graduated from CFCC last night. We took some friends out to eat at a Japanese Steak House afterwards. I brought Madison home with me, so they could have a party at there house afterwards. Congratulations J.P., I'm very proud of you.
I will bring the stamp orders to Priceless tomorrow around 12:30, if anyone wants to pick them up let me know.

Friday, May 2, 2008

I fixed a pot of Sausage Jambalaya last night. Spicy! After dinner I painted those bathroom doors that I had on my list of things to do. Unfortunately, they need another coat of paint. Maybe I'll get to that this weekend. It seems like that boat gets in my way of getting anything done on the weekends.
The Stamper's Ten Club orders came in, so I got to play with a new set of stamps last night. I used True Friend to create this card. I like the way this one stamps up. Oh! Who am I kidding? I like that way all the stamps stamp up. lol Have a great Friday.
